'ZORA' Unveiled at NAMM 2013 | News

I recently unveiled ’ZORA,’ my collaboration with guitar builder Grover Jackson of GJ2 Guitars, at the 2013 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Conference in Anaheim, CA. For the past year I’ve been playing GJ2 Guitar prototypes during performances on television and at No Doubt’s ‘Seven Night Stand’ in LA, but this was the first official unveiling of the production model “ZORA.”

Frank Ruffino Online Auction | News

The band has signed and donated a guitar to an online auction benefitting fellow musician Frank Ruffino, legendary guitarist of the OC punk band China White. Frank was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and has spent the majority of this year in and out of hospitals. He is currently residing at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, awaiting a liver transplant.

All proceeds from this auction will go directly to the Frank Ruffino Benefit Fund, which will provide medical and living expenses during his liver transplant surgery and post-surgery recovery.

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from the studio in Los Angeles...Yes, that's right, the studio!

While we were traveling the world last year promoting Push And Shove, Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music. In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together. We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.

We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don't want to stop. So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavor to create something special and inspired. Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible - both recorded and live on tour.

As always, thank you all for your kind words, incredible support and patience. We promise to keep you updated with photos and videos from the studio, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates. We will see you soon!

No Doubt will appear in an episode of the original short-based comedy series PORTLANDIA tonight at 10/9c on IFC.Tonight marks the third episode of Season #3 of the series, which stars Fred Armison and Carrie Brownstein.

Below is a synopsis for the episode, entitled "Nina's Birthday."

In this brand new clip, Nina (Fred Armisen) throws herself an extravagant day-long birthday party inviting the entire Portlandia gang including guest star Patton Oswalt (Young Adult). The birthday celebration culminates with a tapas dinner, which is thrilling news to Dave (Fred Armisen) and Kath (Carrie Brownstein) as they have just returned from a trip to Spain and are anxious to tell everyone about it. Watch as Dave and Kath grab a guitar and perform their take of an authentic Spanish birthday celebration!

During No Doubt's 2009 Summer Tour, the band auctioned personal meet & greets to raise money for charity. Gwen, Tony, Tom & Adrian split the proceeds equally between four organizations that are important to them. Tom's choice was charity: water, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

The band just received a "Certificate of Completion" from charity: water and wanted to share it with everyone who helped make the auction a success. No Doubt's donation went directly to Akwali, Uganda to provide clean and safe drinking water to over 1,260 people in the community. The band would like to thank the fans for their generosity in helping make this donation possible.

The band's live performance will air that same evening at 11:35/10:35c on ABC, so be sure to tune in. This will be Kimmel’s first show in his new time slot. Vogue Magazine revealed their January 2013 issue today featuring Gwen on the cover. The issue also includes photographs taken during a band rehearsal by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

After ending their "Seven Night Stand" in Los Angeles on Thursday, No Doubt returned to The Gibson Amphitheatre last night as a special guest during Night 2 of the 23rd Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas. The band performed a nine song surprise set that included "Push And Shove", "Sunday Morning", "Hella Good" and more.

KROQ will be streaming the band's entire set from Sunday night exclusively on their official website beginning tomorrow at 10AM PT / 1PM ET.

Gwen, Tony, Tom and Adrian also sat down with KROQ morning show hosts Kevin & Bean last night for an exclusive interview right before they took the stage. Watch the full video interview right here!

No Doubt is pleased to announce a brand new collaboration with British clothing brand Fred Perry!

The band have worked closely with the Fred Perry design team to create a collection of classic Fred Perry styles which honor No Doubt's ska and reggae roots. A limited edition slim fit shirt, available for both men and women, will be released in early January 2013. A punk inspired tartan check V neck sweater and 1950s style bomber will be available in Spring 2013.
